pictures I found

Okay so I found these really cute pics that I wanted to share with all of you. I can't tell you how much I want these.... (*giggle*)...

It's amazing how creative some people are when it comes to coffee. If anyone has any
great coffee photos or ideas, please send to me
on editorial@stbmag.com and perhaps we'll post it here!!

everyone needs a little time to relax...

This weekend I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Drakensberg Sun to do a review for the next Spill the Beans magazine - out October.
What a weekend!
I haven't felt that relaxed in a very long time and it is definitely on my list of my favourite places to go. The moment I returned I was already planning my next trip back - it really is THAT good.
I woke up this morning to my thin duvet, the deafening sound of morning traffic and a bowl of all bran flakes and wished I was back in that hotel - warm fluffy duvet, silence, scenery and buffet breakfast.
Check out the article in Issue 7.

If you've read the latest Spill the Beans (issue 6) or been to our competitions page online you would have seen that you can win a weekend away at this wonderful resort. To stand a chance to win email me on editorial@stbmag.com with your details.

and so a blog begins.....

I've always wanted to be a 'blogger'. I have the magazine, I have a website, I have a newsletter that goes out, and yet here I am starting a blog. As if I don't have enough that goes out into the world. I've always been a diary writing kind of girl, the kind that writes notes everywhere she goes, starts a million new books with great ideas, and feels completely at ease with a fresh blank piece of paper (or nowadays.. a new word document!).
So here I am... spilling some beans...

Spill the Beans has just entered an exciting stage - we just celebrated our first birthday! I cannot believe it has been a year since I first braved the notion of starting my own magazine and I'm absolutely thrilled with the direction in which it's headed. I have met some fantastic people along the way and been to some wonderful coffee shops. This week saw me at the Corner Cafe again - my favourite place to hold my meetings - and thanks to Judd and Jeannie for always getting the coffee just right! And tomorrow I'm starting the day off at Bean Green - yet another fine coffee establishment! Oh it's wonderful to live in Glenwood - where good coffee is just a few steps away!

For now though.. it's time to put the kettle on.
